When this family approached me for a family-maternity photography session, I knew just the place on the Mornington Peninsula. Fast forward to some major traffic issues meant that we only had 45 minutes to make this shoot happen! It was good fun though, and their daughter had such a great time running around. This gorgeous newborn session took place in Katja and Angelo’s family home in Edithvale, a Bayside suburb of Melbourne. Little Salvatore was 5 weeks old which proved the perfect age for images to be taken. His big sister Raffaela joined in the fun, and we all enjoyed a winters morning drinking coffee, chatting and taking a few pictures! This beautiful evening on the cusp of Spring meant that sunset was still pretty early for this young family. We chose a beach in Bayside, Melbourne which was perfect for their 18 month old to explore safely. Their second child was just 7 weeks old, and so we combined a newborn photography session with an outdoor family experience. Check out the cheeky dog who photo-bombed one of their family photographs! The family actually love that photograph because it reflects how they spend their downtime at the beach with their own dog.
