Extra Information
How do I book a session?
Easy! Just make contact >>here and I will be in contact very shortly with some information. If you decide to progress with a booking then we agree on a date, which will be locked in upon payment of a $200 deposit. Once the deposit is paid, you will receive some extra information to help you plan your session. We can also have a real-life chat on the phone anytime to help you plan your maternity session.
When is the best time to do a maternity photoshoot?
Typically maternity photoshoots are done at 32-36 weeks.
Where do the sessions take place?
For outdoor sessions I have some beautiful across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula for you to choose from. Once you have booked your maternity session and paid your deposit, you will receive a location guide that will help guide you with some options. Sessions are typically done at sunset for the beautiful light.
For studio maternity sessions, these are done in my cosy Frankston home-studio, conveniently located in between Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.
What do I wear?
As part of the service, I have a selection of carefully curated wardrobe pieces available for client use. Once you have booked your session you will receive a client wardrobe guide for you to browse and choose from. Otherwise clients supply their own outfit.
As you can see from the above, some clients use the chance to dress up, and others are more comfortable in the jeans and boyfriend-shirt vibe.
Can I include my pet?
Yes for the outdoor sessions, although this will influence the location choice.
What happens after the Maternity Photoshoot?
After the photoshoot, I spend time lovingly editing your images in a mix of colour and black and white. The hours spent in post-production lead to a collection of timeless images that will work well together aesthetically in a series, or just as a stand alone print or frame.
An online viewing gallery will be delivered to you, from where you can make your selections
Do you retouch?
In the spirit of keeping images looking natural I don’t retouch for the outdoor maternity sessions. However if there is something that is bothering you (for example a pimple, or removing a stray hair), please reach out and I will do my best to help.
For the studio maternity sessions, I do some gentle retouching (similar to that of my newborn work), and this is reflected in the different pricing structures.
How long do I have my gallery for?
Galleries are live for one year. In that time I strongly urge clients to download their digital images and back up in multiple places.
What about printing?
This is optional. If you choose to print, you can order through your gallery store or find your own printer.
I am not here to do any hard selling so you can decide the on the route that you take for prints, but if you do print through me I can walk you through the best options.
